...

Todays been quite the day! I slept somewhat badly, but nothing too horrible. I went and did my work, which also went fine. I've been thinking about what I would write today for my blog, but I didn't want to take one of my passion topics; I would want to have full energy for them. Maybe that will keep me from writing them at all ... taking all the images and screenshots I need could prove to be quite annoying.. Alas!

After getting home, I went to check out the new Fortnite season. I played with my squat, but I wasn't getting into it, I just played terribly today! And that really annoyed me, cause I just wanted to have some fun after work, but being decimated made it somewhat unfun for me. I think the problem was that I kept carrying on, thinking I had to have one good match before I leave, but being already frustrated, I think I played worse.

This seems like a big topic coming from Fortnite, but I just came to me, this posts topic: Knowing when to fold em. I actually didn't know that expressions came from a song, but I just knew it from somewhere (could have actually been a Poker Night At The Inventory achievment ... lol). And I think it sounds quite cool, and is something you just gotta know. When to fold em, when to stop.

I would rather say this for more minute decisions. You should chase and put effort and preseverance in your dreams, nothing good comes easy! Hard things are worth working for. But If you ain't having fun at the moment, ain't feeling it, and you know it will not get better, then take a break! It can be really refreshing.

I wanted to write a different blog post after my botched Fortnite session, but then I just thought, no, I don't want to write for the sake of it and to write something daily (even though that is a goal I had!). I went outside and set down on a bench, finishing the book I was reading in one sitting. (For those interested, it was Der Verschwender by Ferdinand Raimund). It was really nice just enjoying the laid-back, not anymore so hot sun, and read my book.

And after finishing, I knew I wanted to write this. I made the right decision, going outside, getting fresh air, getting away from my PC and just doing something to wind down. I'm glad I finished the book, I feel like I learned something, and it was inspiring (the classics always have an afterword, explaining the historical context between the book, or in this case, the play. I always find them interesting, especially cause I have the feeling I don't really know much about the time periods these books were written; the 1800s, or more specifically in this case, the Vormärz. What can you say about them? I don't want to make assumptions based on myself, but I think most people couldn't say something about them either (maybe some of the worse things or keypoints that happened, like wars, but nothing about the everyday life and art of the people living in that era))

So yeah, know when to fold people! (And by the way, don't gamble please! I know this comes from gambling; and poker has many rounds, sometimes you need to fold.. maybe your luck changes! Maybe you get dealt a better hand later.) Thanks for reading this, and have a blessed day.

According to Neocities, I amassed quite the views on the website! Apparently, yesterdy we had 2300 visitors! Which seems like a big number to me! I suppose that influx of readers came from Blaugust! Makes me happy to know people read what I write! I didn't really know it til I looked now, haven't received a comment or much in the Guestbook yet! But I suppose not many people write comments, especially on the odd blog; I know I don't write them too often. But, if you want, feel free! That commentbox included in the HTML should work! Actually, don't comment too much so I don't have to pay for it! 😆

Don't really have a picture for this! So, here take a look at this nice forest taken by Vitaly Kobzun! (I love royalty-free images! Which could also be a topic for a ost, what inspiration I have today! :D)
