...

I used to read a lot, but with responsibilities, uni and many other great ways to use my free time (like Gaming :P or making music and videos), I feel that reading has fallen short, sadly.

It's just way easier to watch YouTube or a show. Reading takes commitment and concentration, and if I'm already exhausted from the day, doing mental work like studying, I often don't feel like picking up a book.

I want to change it, and recently a friend of mine brought Hardcover to my attention. A Website where you can track what books you read, among other features.

I coded a book database for books I own and have read a year ago, but it wasn't really great, I built it from Scratch using Javascript, HTML and a MySQL database, it didn't really have great UX and was not motivated to continue that project.

Now that something like that exists, I'm glad I can use it! It has great useability, and tracking what I read motivates me to read more!

I feel better reading before I sleep too, so I can recommend trying to get back into reading!

And, reading can be a lot of things! If you are like me and like some lighter cuisine sometimes, you could read (web)comics or manga! It doesn't have to be 500 pages Sci-Fi novels all the time, but if you can get into them sometime, great! I'm currently perusing my shelf on what I could read next, just go by feeling! It should be fun!

With that, I wish you enjoyment from reading some!
