As an addition to the previous post: The appreciation of simple things!
I really like to just sketch with a pencil lately, I think I actually have almost never done it? Like, JUST sketch. Don't try to line or colour it, just sketch and try out stuff.
It was a really nice change of paste, I was able to try different expressions and poses relatively fast. Even though I draw mostly digital cause of the benefits that brings (UNDO Button, I can do shading easier, (due to) different layers), I feel that knowledge transfers over to drawing traditional drawing and vice versa.
I think drawing on paper still feels more natural and pleasant; I think I use the Zoom a lot too when drawing digitally to get lines JUST perfect, sometimes it distracts from the entire piece.
I noticed my lines were very confident and clean, and going back to digital, I was able to use what I have learnt.
You have to watch out though, if you do a lot of lines for the sketch/don't erase old ones, it will look way better than it will looked lined. I heard it's because the brain picks the correct lines or maybe an inbetween if you have multiple scribbles over where the line is supposed to be.
So, erase! And if you are really happy with something, line it with ink c: Have fun drawing!
